Islington Town Hall Wedding Photography

Every year I count down the minutes until spring arrives.  London bursting with cherry blossoms, green shoots and feel a ray of warm sunlight on my face is in total marked contrast to my childhood memories of slush, mouldy snow, mud and general “brownness”.   So on a bright, spring morning I was super-excited to head over to Islington, my old stomping ground, for C & T’s mini-wedding.

Wedding photography at Islington Town Hall can sometimes get confusing, especially when you haven’t met the bride or groom before and there are three weddings happening at the same time.  Brides all over the place!  I tell myself “just shoot them all!” and run from one arriving car to another, trying to peek through the darkened windows.  I haven’t got one wrong yet thankfully.

The streets around the town hall have no shortage of pretty streets for pictures and after the ceremony we went on a little walkabout for a few relaxed portraits before leaving the couple at that Islington institution, Frederick’s to enjoy lunch and catch up with friends and family.

You might be thinking of foregoing booking a photographer for your low-key civil ceremony, but it’s an important day in your life – don’t regret not documenting it properly.  Get in touch if you’re on the fence or planning on getting married at Islington Town Hall.
